Examples of the Parameters to be Declared on the Pre-classification Form

The list below shows examples of declarations to be made on the pre-classification form for some common products. The list is not exhaustive. You are advised to refer to the relevant Regulations to ensure that the technical specifications/data sheets provided cover the technical parameters of your products or declarations are certified to be true by the technical staff of your company.

  1. For Microprocessor
    1. CTP = 5,500 Mtops

    2. The operating temperature is 0 0C to 70 0C; and

    3. No radiation hardened.

  2. For Computer/Server

    1. The CTP of the computer is 8,000 Mtops; and

    2. No hardware or software providing cryptographic capability.

  3. For Processor Board

    1. The CTP of the Processor Board is 5,500;

    2. The maximum CTP is 7,000; and

    3. The ultimate maximum CTP is 9,000.

  4. For Encryption Products

    1. The key length of the product is 128 bits.

  5. The Field Programmable gate/logic arrays Integrated Circuits

    1. The equivalent usable gate count is 18,000;

    2. The toggle frequency is 210 MHz;

    3. The basic gate propagation delay time is 3 ns; and

    4. The operating temperature is0 0C to 70 0C.

  6. For Optical Fibre

    1. The proof test tensile stress is 4 kN/mm2.

  7. For Telecommunications Switching/Transmission Equipment

    (e.g. router and switching equipment)

  8. Software for Section 7

    (Same as Section 4 - for encryption)
