Tips for Applying Licences and Related Documents

UN Sanctions and Control Requirements of Hong Kong's Trading Partners

To ensure that their shipment/trading activities will not breach the various sanctions/trade restrictions imposed under the Laws of Hong Kong, or by the United Nations or the various originating countries/ places of the goods concerned, traders may need to refer to the relevant sanction/trade restriction information from time to time to determine their applicability to their shipment/trading activities. The following provides a quick reference for this purpose:

A. Trade sanctions imposed under the Laws of Hong Kong :

  United Nations Sanctions Ordinance (Cap. 537)
   
  List of countries/ places subjected to United Nations Sanction and Relevant Trade Circulars issued by the Trade and Industry Department on trade sanctions

B. Trade sanctions/restrictions imposed by the United Nations :

  Use of sanctions under Chapter VII of the UN charter

C. Trade sanctions/ restrictions/ Control Requirements imposed by major trading partners of Hong Kong :
