Part (V) E-Account Activation,
Login ID and Password, E-Account Particulars
(i) E-Holders without
digital certificates
- Activation of E-Account
Upon receipt of Trade and Industry Department's notification letter
(Part (II)(i) refers), the company
can input the Login ID and Password stated therein to activate its
E-Account and becomes an E-Holder.
- Change Password
Upon activation, E-Holder will be requested to go through a series
of steps to set for itself a new Password.
For security sake, E-Holders are advised to change their E-Accounts'
Passwords periodically. E-Holders can select from the Main Menu of
E-Account, "Change Password" and follow the instructions to assign
a new Password for their E-Accounts.
- Forget Password
In case an E-Holder has been denied access to its account due to repeated
login failures or has forgotten its Password, it has to notify the
Trade and Industry Department by completing and fax to us a form [SC029]
(pdf fillable form) for requesting a new Password.
Upon receipt of the request,
we will assign a new Password to the relevant E-Account and notify
the E-Holder accordingly through registered mail.
(ii) E-Holders with
digital certificates
- Activation of E-Account
Upon receipt of Trade and Industry Department's notification letter
(Part (II)(ii) refers), the company
can input the Login ID and Password stated therein to activate its
E-Account and becomes an E-Holder.
- Define Login ID and Password
E-Holders subscribed with digital certificates are required to go
through a series of steps to set its own pair of Login ID and Password
upon activating its E-Account.
Once the Login ID and Password are set, it becomes the key to gain
access to the E-Account. For their own interests, E-Holders are advised
to keep this pair of Login ID and Password confidential and make it
known to merely their authorised personnel (Part
(II)(ii) refers).
The Trade and Industry Department encourages E-Holders to change their
Login ID and Password from time to time to protect their accounts
from attempts of unauthorised accesses.
- Forget Password
In case an E-Holder has been denied access to its account due to repeated

Trade and Industry Department by completing and fax to us a form [SC045]
(pdf fillable form) for requesting a new pair Login ID and Password.
Upon receipt of the request, we will assign and issue another set
of Login ID and Password to the E-Holder through registered mail.
- E-Account's Particulars
E-Holders can select from the E-Account's Main Menu, "E-Account's
Particulars", and check the correctness of information therein, e.g.
company name, office address, BR number and fax number; name, email,
contact phones number of the authorised personnel etc..
If anything is found incorrect or changes are required, the Company
should clarify with the Trade and Industry Department, complete and
re-submit a registration form SC044
(pdf fillable form), or use the E-Account's function, "Change of E-Account's
Particulars" to request for amendments.
