The seminar was co-organised by the Trade and Industry Department (TID) and the Hong Kong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics (HAFFA) on 9 July 2009. Some 70 HAFFA members attended the seminar.
During the seminar, the representatives of the Strategic Trade Controls Branch of TID introduced the overall control framework of strategic trade controls in Hong Kong. Emphasis was placed on the basis of the control list with introduction of major product categories and explanation of technical information required for deciding whether an item is subject to control or not.
