Import, export, transhipment and transit of strategic commodities are subject to licensing control in Hong Kong under the Import and Export Ordinance (Chapter 60, Laws of Hong Kong) and the Import and Export (Strategic Commodities) Regulations (Chapter 60G, Laws of Hong Kong) (hereunder “the Regulations”).

The Trade and Industry Department is responsible for issuing licences covering the import and export of strategic commodities.
